On this Easter Sunday, a day on which most of the Western church celebrates Jesus’ resurrection, Pastor Kevin reminds us that the essential foundation of biblical Christianity is the historical fact of Jesus’ rising from the grave three days after His crucifixion. We see in Acts Chapters 3 and 4 and related Scriptures some of the many proofs of the resurrection, with Pastor Kevin drawing attention to the responses of the people who saw and heard of the risen Jesus. Some responded in repentance and faith in the risen Jesus. However, most still rejected Him, refusing to consider how this profound event would affect their eternal destinies, despite the Apostle Peter’s warning on the Day of Pentecost that, “And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet (Jesus) shall be utterly destroyed from among the people” (Acts 3:22 NKJV).
Describing contemporary signs pointing to Jesus’ soon return, Pastor Kevin exhorts believers to remain unflagging in our mission to share the gospel with the unbelieving while there is still time for them to escape the judgment to come.
