Wha do earthquakes have to do with the global flood?

According to the Hydroplate Theory for the Flood of Noah, Walt Brown, PhD (Mechanical Engineering), the global flood was not a result of ordinary rainfall – it was a cataclysmic event initiated when, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened….  And the rain was on the earth forty days and forty nights” (Genesis 7:11-12 NKJV).  At the conclusion of the flood event, the earth was left in an unstable state, and our planet has been struggling to resolve unbalanced forces ever since.
