Paula White is an American televangelist, author, and self-proclaimed pastor whose ministry has been defined by her promotion of prosperity theology, extra-biblical revelations, and doctrinal distortions. She is a leading figure in the Word of Faith movement and has strong ties to the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), a movement that promotes modern-day apostleship and direct revelation outside of Scripture. White has served as a spiritual advisor to political figures, gaining influence through her association with former President Donald Trump, who appointed her to lead the newly established White House Faith Office in February 2025—a decision that has sparked widespread controversy within the Christian community.
