Note from Pastor Kevin: Can someone be a biblical Christian and call God a liar?
1 Cor 6:9-11 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
Some are saying he has recanted. But is he doing so just for show because of the backlash and financial implications? Christians should have had enough discernment to realize something was wrong with Mr Peterson by the way he corrupted God’s Word with his “Message Bible”. It appears that God is sifting the wheat from the chaff in preparation for calling the true church home. I pray the reader doesn’t join in Eugene Peterson’s heresy. .
Eugene Peterson, the author of “The Message Bible” and more than 100 other Christian books, told Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Services that his experience with Christian homosexuals has caused him to reconsider his opposition.
How does he reconcile his newly “reconsidered” position with the Scripture he has paraphrased for millions of people who read “The Message Bible”?
