A note from Pastor Kevin Lea follows this article.
Christian numerologists claim that the world will end on Sept. 23, 2017 as they believe a planet will collide with Earth.
According to Christian numerologist David Meade, verses in Luke 21: 25 to 26 is the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse.
The verses read:
“25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
“’26: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.’
Sept. 23 is a date that was pinpointed using codes from the Bible, as well as a “date marker” in the pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
Meade has built his theory, which is viewed with a widely skeptical lens, on the so-called Planet X, which is also known as Nibiru, which he believes will pass Earth on Sept. 23, causing

Note from Pastor Kevin: Anyone who has read the Bible knows that astrology is relegated by God to the evil, demonic realm of the occult.
How incredible it is that “Christians” are listening to these false teachers who are trying to Christianize astrology. This (the apostasy of the church) is a greater sign that we are approaching the last days than the constellation Virgo.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Tim 4:3-4 NKJV
Because of these false “Christians” and those deceived by them, the days following Sept 23rd will become heydays of mockery against God by those who heard their “Christian” friend or family member say the world is ending on the 23rd.
According to the Bible, the end of the world (actually the second coming of Jesus who prevents the world from ending) will not occur until the end of a seven-year Tribulation period, which is yet to start. The Bible is clear (Daniel chapter 9, Revelation) that The Tribulation begins when a global leader (the Antichrist), is ruling over a global government, and enforces a seven year covenant on the world’s people. From that day on, there will be a seven year countdown to the second coming of Jesus which will bring a time of unparalleled troubles to the earth and its inhabitants (Revelation 4-19).
Is the world in global government today? Is there a global leader over planet earth’s inhabitants? What about the seven year “covenant”? Until these things have occurred, we are at least seven years away from “the end of the world as we know it”
I pray the non-believer will realized that true Christians rely on the prophetic word of God and not false teachers who are making up fables about invisible planets and esoteric meanings of constellations (astrology). It is a fact that our Jesus is coming to take His church (those who love Him) home some day, and that the wrath of God is coming upon those who hate Him and are destroying the earth (Revelation 11:18), but the timing of these things will have nothing to do with planet X or the current star alignment in Virgo.
See you on the 24th!
