China’s state-run newspaper Global Times revealed in a column defending the nation’s authoritarian “social credit system” Monday that the communist regime had blacklisted 13.49 million Chinese citizens for being “untrustworthy.”

Note from Pastor Kevin Lea: Nearly the entire world has rejected the God of the Bible and His laws, which were made for our good. Instead, billions are turning to false gods (including the no-god god of atheism) and embracing the technologically hyped-up lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life, which are the source of all sin (1 John 2:16).

God warns us through His word that embracing sin will result in violence, bloodshed, diseases, dishonesty, theft, false witnessing and other manifestations which always result in a loss of the rule of law and subsequent collapse of society with associated misery of the people.

The role of government is to provide law and order for its citizens.  But since the godless, communist leaders of China do not look to the perfect law of God as their standard, they invent their own rule of law.  Ever since the communist revolution, the Chinese people have been controlled by the constant fear of government oppression.  But until the advent of super computers, algorithms, monitoring of all social media and other forms of communication, millions of cameras watching nearly every street, building and person (via smart phone and computer cameras), with limitless data storage, people were able to get away with things when the government was not watching. But now the ubiquitous surveillance society of China has given the government the ability to act like God with their ability to be “all knowing”. 

As this article states, the Chinese software behind this oppression is being exported to any country that wants it.  We know from the prophetic word of God that in the last days there will be a world ruler who will have this kind of “all-knowing” power over all the people of the world.  The Bible refers to him as the beast or antichrist (Revelation 13, 1 John 2:18).  In order to have a passing social score with him, people will have to worship him as god or be kept from buying and selling using the global monetary system that he will control (not possible without a collapse of the current economic system, with the replacement being a central/global bank controlled digital currency – something that is now being openly discussed as being in the works).

Therefore, this article is an omen for how close we are to the last of the last days that the prophets foretold.  The coming global government oppression will lead to total enslavement, misery and oppression, ultimately leading to the death of nearly everyone on planet earth (Matthew 24:22).

Compare all of the above to the life of someone who has humbled themselves before their creator, confessing their sins against Him, repenting of their foolishness in doing so and embraced God’s forgiveness which is received by having faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Such a person now embraces God’s law and they seek to love God and their fellow man – never seeking to do them harm.  They are no longer a threat to society because they embrace the rule of law, God’s law.  Yes, God is all knowing and sees everything they are doing, but the child of God does not care since God has given them a new heart that wants to please God, knowing that God’s laws were given for their own benefit.  The Chinese citizen is enslaved; the biblical Christian is free and in love with the benevolent government (God) and yearns for the day that they will be taken to be with Him in heaven where man’s foolishness and evil is no more.

Are you enslaved or free?  There is not much time left to make the right choice, the last days storm clouds are brewing.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:31-36) NKJV 

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.  Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.  And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  (Gal 5:18-25) NKJV
