A couple times a week I have a short time to talk with my Catholic friend as we work out together. A couple years ago he started emailing blogs espousing Catholic doctrines to about thirty people, including me.
When he asks me what I thought about a blog, I respond that I don’t agree with most of what he says because they are so unbiblical. This week I decided to respond in writing.
I have placed our email exchange into this handout so the reader can understand that Catholicism is not consistent with the Biblical gospel of Jesus. There are many problems with what he says in his blog, but my email to him focused on his unbiblical statement that, “In so doing Satan has tried to distract the world from Mary’s message of salvation which Jesus accomplished.
Please pray for him and all Catholics who are so deceived by the wicked one who is the enemy of their souls.

The Spiritual Gift of Knowledge
The Book of Isaiah (11:1) lists the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: Wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. We may consider each as separate gifts. In actuality, they are combined together to form an understanding of how we receive the love of God in our lives and share with those who the Holy Spirit brings into our lives.
The gift of fear of the Lord (love) leads us to the gift of piety (reverence and humility), which leads to counsel (seeking God’s truth), fortitude (endurance and steadfastness), wisdom, understanding and knowledge. The first four gifts lead us to the last three. By complementing each other, all seven gifts are actually one gift by which we show our love of God and seek to serve his will. The world today is saturated with temptations that lead us away from God and are tearing society apart. Satan uses every opportunity to distract us and carry on the spiritual warfare for the soul.
The month of May was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary around the 13th century as a constant reminder that the son she bore, Jesus, gave His life to save the world. Then, in 1917, came the Russia revolution and the beginning of an Atheistic Socialism, which dedicated the month of May to “the workers,” using parades to promote their anti-Christ message and calling for violence, chaos, and obstruction of justice. In so doing Satan has tried to distract the world from Mary’s message of salvation which Jesus accomplished.
We must now dedicate ourselves to the task of bringing the message of salvation to those around us using these gifts of the Holy Spirit. But, before using these and all gifts of God we must start with the instructions given to us by the prayer Jesus taught. He taught us to give glory (thanksgiving) to the Father and to forgive. When God forgives us (because of the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus) He also forgets our transgressions. This is how we are to forgive.
Jesus then gave us a special gift of Himself as our Daily Bread (The Eucharist). Knowing our weakness He also said “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever” John 14:1616 which is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 16:19). This will enable us to take up to the challenge not only to avoid temptations in our daily struggles but to share His message. The gift of the Holy Spirit is given to reinforce the message of Salvation.
We live in a world of constant spiritual warfare. St. Paul told us to: “Rejoice at all times. Pray without ceasing. Give thanks in every circumstance, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).
Jesus said to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, take care of the sick, visit those in prison and especially to love one-another as I have love you. Matthew 25:36 and John 13:34
In my present ministry of caring for my wife, I haven’t the time or opportunity to perform these services. I have solved this problem by using the church, which has the resources (you and me) and the dedicated people who can. My financial resources are limited, but my Accountant (the Holy Spirit) has assured me that He will take care of it, if I step out in faith.
I have been blessed in my life. God has given me the desires of my heart with the Holy Spirit’s guidance and assurance.

Hi ****,
You know, and I know, because the Bible tells us so, that the message of salvation did not come from Mary. The message of Salvation came from AND was accomplished by Jesus, and Jesus alone. So why do you state otherwise in this blog – and in doing so lead your readers (who don’t know any better) astray?
The message of the New Testament, all the prophets and all the apostles is about the Messiah Jesus, not his mother, not a religious system, not a human priesthood, etc. Mary was a sinner in need of a savior just like us (Luke 1:46-47). She can accomplish nothing for us because she was on her way to hell just like us if she had not put her trust in her Son. Jesus, not His mother, is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The biblical Jesus is resurrected, ascended and sitting at the right hand of the Father waiting to come again. He is not on a catholic crucifix nor in the arms of His earthly mother as a baby (as satan has used the Catholic church to portray through icons and idols thus deceiving people into glorifying the mother instead of the SON).
So why do you follow a Pope that leads millions astray in the idol worship of Mary?
****, don’t you realize that the Father will hold you accountable on judgment day for pointing people to Mary instead of Jesus who said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me?
Notice that Jesus (God in flesh), DID NOT SAY,
“The Catholic church/Pope/Mary are the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by the petition to Mary who will then dispense the graces of powerless Jesus (compared to His mother’s immaculate heart) through the sacraments of the Catholic church administered by the priests and popes (thousands of whom are child rapists) to the sinful common man who must then suffer in purgatory for an unknown period of time (because Jesus and the apostles lied to us in their statements and writings in the New Testament), and thus maybe get to heaven.”
What a sick heresy Catholicism is. ****, come out of her while you still can!
2 Cor 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 17 Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” NKJV
Just a warning from someone who loves you enough to tell you so.
Sincerely,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Missed you at the pool today. Anyway I sorry you miss understood what was in the article. Mary is doing exactly what you and I are doing telling the world that her son, Jesus is the Savior of the world .
I still love you brother, ****
Final note from Kevin: My friend **** (as well as all Catholics) believes that Mary is still active in the world today (in her idol shrines and in various claims of apparitions around the world) speaking to us from heaven. They call her the queen of heaven, a title that is only found in the bible as it pertains to God’s condemnation of Babylonian female idol worship (Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17-25), which the Jews had adopted.
The biblical Mary is in heaven worshiping her Lord and savior. She is not speaking to the world; the Holy Spirit is (John 16:8). The bible teaches that behind every idol is a demon (Deu 32:16-17, 1 Cor 10:19-21), which explains why the so-called messages from Mary (at various idol shrines) are so unbiblical.
All true believers in the biblical Jesus will soon join those in heaven who will be forever worshiping Jesus for what He has done to save us from sin and death. How sad that the Mary the Catholics believe in is actually manifested by demons who are deceiving them into the lake of fire.
