NEW YORK — Michael A. Walrond Jr., one of New York City’s most influential pastors who leads the more than 10,000-member First Corinthian Baptist Church in Harlem, is coming under fire online for telling his congregants that the belief that Jesus is the only way to Heaven is “insanity.”

Note from Pastor Kevin Lea: The last day’s apostasy (departure from biblical faith) is upon us. The professing church is losing its witness and will be cut out by God. But the remnant church of true believers will be taken to be with Jesus when He “catches us up” (better known as rapture – 1 Thess 4:17) before He pours out His wrath on the unbelieving world, starting with the opening of the first seal (Rev 6:1). If there was any courage at all in Walrond’s professing church congregation, all ten thousand of them would have gotten up and left, shaking the dust off of their feet as they went to find a real Pastor to be discipled under.

Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell [unbelieving Jews], severity; but toward you [Jew and Gentile church], goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you [unbelieving, professing, Church members] also will be cut off. And they [Jews] also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
